I suppose it could be said that if you give a kid some lettuce, that child can eat a salad (unless of course, the kid doesn’t usually eat anything green, but that is something to be talked about later), BUT, if you give the kid lettuce seed, then the gift of food empowerment will give more than one lowly salad. If you give a child seeds and a chance to experiment and play with them, then very soon you have given that child food security.
And food security will change the world.
And that, in a nutshell, is what Beag is all about. We want to play some small role in getting seeds into the hands of our chldren. Gardening is fun. Gardening is learning. And most importantly, gardening is important in your child’s journey with food and health.
